Time in nature is a wonderful way for kids to get their energy out, satisfy loads of sensory needs and
to increase their observation skills. We love to look closely and listen carefully on our nature walks.
Finding nature treasures is always an excitement. A fallen bird nests, a deceased butterfly, acorns
and wildflowers are just some of the things we collect and display. We will often get out
our art supplies and sketch/paint what we have found for our nature journals. Identifying and labeling
the pictures adds an extra educational piece and really gets their brains thinking!
Our personal shelf, or shelves to be more accurate, are always changing. You will find my favorite
books, our moon and blooms calendar, and our nature findings in various locations throughout the house.
I might have an obsession. Hehe.
So take a nature walk, gather some goodies, clear off a shelf
to display your treasures and favorite books. It’s that easy!
Our sliding wooden calendar was purchased on ebay. Amazon has something similar.
Now on to these lovelies! I am so inspired by all of these nature shelves! Please click the source
