 In college I studied ASL, fueled by a desire to become an interpreter as I watched them at my church. My husband and I met and eloped while in an ASL class at Saddleback College and 6 years later our first child was born - I got to stay home with her! Being a mom is the coolest thing I have ever done- I cherish the experience of seeing a little person become big. After my second child was born, I was drawn back to signing- this time as a way to connect with my curious child. She is now a bright, talkative 4 year old now and my 2 year old son is exploding in sign. I am excited to also be sharing this beautiful communication skill with other families. Sign with you soon! |
